TROTTING TRAINING AT ADDINGTON * (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Several hundred trotting enthusiasts attended, the Addington course early this morning and- watched 1 the training operations, particularly of the Australian, champion, Walla Walla, and Auburn Lad, who raced against Nelson’s Victory over a mile and a-quarter. Nelson’s Victory was .first into the straight, but over the last furlong Walla Walla displaced him with a brilliant burst and passed the other two easily. He paced the last half-mile in lmin. 3sec. The last furlong was covered in better than a- two-minute clip. It was a great effort. EXCITING FINISH THE LINCOLNSHIRE (Received March 22, 3 p.m.) LONDON, March 21. The owner of Playon, winner of the Lincolnshire, is a South African, whose colors had not previously been carried in England. The trainer also is a South African. Quartz, who was second, was brought specially from France, but failed in an exciting finish.
