A Canadian artisan has received a legacy of .U7CCO. During the war lie was in tlie trenches and carried hack to safety an officer of a Highland regiment. A friendship sprang .up between the two, and they kept up correspondence after the war. The officer recently died anil left his Canadian friend the legacy.
