THAMES FINANCES (Per Press Association.) THAMES, this day. The Thames Borough Commissioner, Mr O. L. Grange, announced to-day thtit' the collection of rate's for the clirreiit financial year to March 1 was £13,803 4s lid, or 67 per cent, compared with £13;4’56 5s Bd, or 65 per Icdrtt in' the previous year.- The total rates levied- in 1034* werfe £20,580, and 5iP 1033 £20,7401 The arrears collected* to date total £4677, compared with £4l-04' last year. The commissioner stated that the -borough’s position was such as to warrant a' reasonable reduction in the pro-' sent rate of 2s Od in the pouhd in the coming financial year.
