DAVIS CUP CONTEST
NEW ZEALAND’S ENTRY ' PLANS EXPLAINED \Y r'* ■ (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Speaking of the arrangements made with regard to New Zealand’s Davis Cap team, Mr, A. G. Henderson, at last nignt’s meeting of the council of the Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, mentioned that Mr. P. W. Eootham, vice-president of the English association, had been appointed to act with the *' captain of tne team, E. D. Andrews, , as a selection committee. Satisfactory financial arrangements had been made about sending Home the Dominion 'champion, C. E. Malfroy, and the team would have an opportunity for practising together. Authority had been given to employ a coach if it was thought necessary. It was hoped that an invitation' might be forthcoming for the team to play in the French cnam{lionships, which took place shortly beore the Davis Cup matches.
