A large series of beautiful photographs illustrating the native plant life of New Zealand is at present Iroing shown at tiio Cawthron Institute, Nelson. This woyk, which is in the hands of Air. W. C. Davies, has been made possible by a special grant from the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, the authorities of (which are apxi.ous to obtain photographs of all important New Zealand-plants for their botanical museum.
