OFFICERS’ SOLEMN PLEDGE BERLIN, Fob. 12. The allegiance of all members of organisations of the higher military officers of the Nazi regime was solemnly pledged to-day by their spokesman, General von dor Goltz. General von dcr Goltz is head of the new National League of officers of the army, navy, and aviation, which has just absorbed all officers of clubs, associations and fraternities existing hitherto. President Hindenburg accorded a special audience to General von dor Goltz, who declared that the new organisation, to which all high German officers belong, acknowledges unreservedly its loyalty to the new regime, will strictly refrain from any form of political activity tending to embarrass Herr Hitler’s Government, and will stand ready for unconditional service at any time.
