INTOXICATED IN CAR (Per Press Association.) DARGAVILLE, this day. At the Police Court this morning, a Maori, Walter Kamatoa Graham, 25, a single man, was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car, and also Avith having no license. The accused took possession of a friend’s car which was standing in a parking area crowded Avith cars, and crashed into and badly- damaged two on either side of the road. He straightened up and dashed off, pursued .by a traffic inspector in a borrowed taxi. The accused Avas fined £25, in default three months’ gaol. £3O FINE AND LICENSE LOST (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. .Stated by the police to have been re* leased from prison a few months ago for a similar offence, Edmund Sheehan Avas fined £3O and his license cancelled for two years for being drunk in charge of a motor lorry which collided with a milk cart.
