UNREST IN NICARAGUA “MURDER” OF SANDING MANAGUA, Feb. 23. A state of siege has been declared throughout Nicaragua by the Government, following tlje slaying to-day by National Guardsmen of _ General Augirto Saiu'lino, who for five years fought against what he termed the Imperialistic United States foreign policy. He had laid down his arms last fall to become a planter. Despite rigid censorship, it, was indicated that Socrates Sandino, a brother, and two friends, were also slain when the four refused guardsmen’s orders to appear before them. Another report said that Sandino’s father was also- slain.
