UNREST IN BOMBAY

There is a grave situation at Sholapur, in the Bombay presidency, where 14,000 cotton mill operatives are striking as a protest against a 121 per cent, wage cut. Strikers last night stoned the mills, but were dispersed after repeated baton charges by the police, who were reinforced by' 150 armed constables from adjoining districts. Tlie magistrate banned demonstrations and processions in the mill areas. 1 Several mills are closing to-day.
