ATTACKS ON GOVERNMENT OTTAWA, Feb. 14. Tile House of Commons to-day defeated a Liberal want-of-eonfidenee amendment to the Address from the Throne, by 110 votes to 76, after which Mr, J. S. Woodsworth, Co-operative Commonwealth Federation leader, moved another amendment,, stating that the Government had not taken such steps as were necessary to deal adequntolv with unemployment, to reduce the debt burden, and to put agriculture on a basis which would secure to the farmer a decent, standard of living.
