SPANISH BACHELOR TAX
PRIESTS NOT EXEMPT (Received Feb. 15, noon.) LONDON, Feb. 14. The Times’ Barcelona correspondent states that all Catholic priests in Catalonia have been subjected to the bachelor tax, despite a protest from the vicargeneral that the penalty should not be imposed on those vowed to celibacy, especially as priests in the remainder of Spaifi are exempt.
