NOT TO PROCEED

A motor-van conveying eight members of the Methodist Mission Maori concert party capsized in the Dome Valley, about seven miles north of Warwick, North Auckland. The fall of the van was arrested by the top coming to rest on a ledge below the level of the road, thus averting a drop of 20ft. into a creek. Sister Pui Kirkland, who was in charge of the party, had an ankle broken, but the other members of the party escaped with bruises and slight shock.
