SYDNEY, Jan. 3.
At the wool sales 11,773 bales wore offered, of which 11,589 were sold : Id 15 bales were disposed of privately. There was keen and general competition, and the market showed a distinct upward tendency for all descriptions, especially for better class of skirtings. Excellent clearances were effected. Greasy merino made 291 d for seven bales from the New England district,.
