GERMAN DEFENCES
REORGANISATION LIKELY COMPULSORY SERVICE (Received Dec. 29, 2 p.m.) BERLIN, Dec. 28. A thorough reorganisation of the defence forces, including an early return to compulsory military service, is expected to follow the resignation of General von Hammerstein, chief of the Iteichswehr. His successor is likely to be General von Blombei'g Boehm, who will become -Minister of Defence.
