CHANGES AT AUCKLAND
SEVERE HAILSTORM
(Per Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, this day

To-day dawned gloriously fine, though cold, But before noon there had been drizzling rain, bursts of sunshine, a brief hailstorm, and sun again. Tho hailstorm, which occurred just before tho first race at Epsoin, was exceedingly heavy while it lasted. On the whole, it is a sort of Christmas week in which those who are obliged to work have the best of it. SQUALLY IN WELLINGTON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A severe southerly storm struck Wellington in the early hours of this morning, accompanied by hail squalls, thunder and lightning. The weather is fine, but cold to-day, with a very occasional squall.
