MOTOR RACING
BRITISH MACHINES r IN INTERNATIONAL EVENTS LONDON, Dec. 18. All the important international motor races on the Continent next year will lie contested by British drivers in some of the fastest, cars ever built, 'trials and experiments arc already proceeding for two important racing teams, who, with the hacking of well-known builders, will take up the challenge of European motor manufacturers. These manufacturers have refused to supply the latest Continental racing models to British drivers.
One of the teams will be led by O. E. T. Eyston, one of the most successful and experienced drivers in England, and the other will probably have Kaye Don as its leader. The drivers are to include Wal. Handley, O. Penn Hughes. Norman Black, and Cecil Field, all wellknown drivers.
The decision to take up the Continental challenge is regarded most favorably by the public,, which realises that it is time that the excellence of British cars was demonstrated abroad in competition with the best machines that Europe can produce.
