PRINCESS ALLEGES LIBEL-
LONDON, Dec. 18.
The action in which Princess Irina Alexandrovna, niece of the murdered Czar, alleges tlyat she was libelled in the. film “Rasputin,” came before the court to-day. The Princess, who is the wife of Prince Yousoupoff, is suing Metvo-Gold-wyn-Mayer Pictures, claiming that the film means that she, under the name of “Princess Natasha,” was seduced by r Rasputin, and was his mistress. The film, she says, depicted ‘'Natasha” in a nurse s costume, similar to that worn by herself. Prince Yousoupoff authorised the statement that he was responsible for Rasputin’s death. Defendants contend that “Natasha” was U fictional character, unconnected with the plaintiff. The court decided. that Princess Irina must, within three days, supply further points of 'resemblance between herself and “Natasha.”
