WORLD DISARMAMENT
REPLY TO HITLER FRENCH RESERVATION (Received Dec. 28, 3 p.m.) PARIS, Dec. 27. The Cabinet has approved of an aide memo!re being dispatched to M. Poncet informing Herr Hitler that France is prepared to continue the disarmament conversations, but the organisation of general security by a reduction of armaments must be carried out within the framework of the League. This is tantamount to a rejection of Herr Hitler’s proposal for direct negotiations.
