NEW PLYMOUTH, last night. Unpleasant weather, with heavy rain during several races prevailed tor the* final day of. the _ Taranaki Jockey Club’s summer meeting. The totalisator receipts to day were £OBI7, a drop of £2953 on last year. For the two days (lie total drop was £3673. In no race were there more than two dividends, and in two races only one dividend.

Concluding results were: —

Tarata Hurdles —2 St. Ames (Brady) 1; 1 Ruby Meteor (Thomson) 2; 3 March Alone (’fucker) 3. Also ran: Don Erma. Won by three lengths, and five lengths. Time, 2.5 3-n. New Plymoutli Handicap. —2-2 Musquil (Cameron) 1; 5-3 Richfield (L. Dulieu) 2; 4-1 Davistock (Feasey) 3. Also ran: Korokio. Calamine slipped at the barrier, fractured a. bone in his hind leg, and was destroyed. Won by half a length, and four lengths. Time, 1.50 3-5.

Uruti Hack Handicap.—3-1 Prince Colossus (Dulieu) 1; 1-2 Lalla Quex (Cammick) 3. Also ran: Chief Line, Benedictine. Time, 1.52 2-5.

Warea Hack Handicap.—3-3 Lia Fail (Sullivan) 1; 4-4 Loo Colossus (Murray) 2; 1-1 Merry Way (Goldfinch) 3. Also ran: ITuamii, Waiwhetu, Adept. W r on by four lengths, and two lengths. Time, 1.1(1 3-5. MANAWATU RACES STAKES TO AUTOPAY ARIKIRA WINS PRESIDENT’S (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night. The Manawatu race meeting was continued in showery weather. There was a fair attendance. The track was slow but the going good. The totalisator put through £ls,7s3vagainst £16,467 10s on. the second day last. year.

Kelvin Handicap. -1 Revision (Voitre), 1; 5-4 Ebeum, 2; 9-9 Windward, 3. Also ran : 4-5 Join de Vul, 1-2 Pango, 6-6 Kalmuk. 7-8 Huntique, 8-7 Flower, 3-3 High Rank. Won by a length, and two lengths. Time, 1.58. Ebeum was the early leader from Flower, Windward and Revision. Ebeum led into the straight ahead of Huntique, Windward, Flower and Revision, but the last-named did best and scored nicely. Flower was fourth. Linton Highweight Handicap.—s-5 Miss Hushabye (C. Thomson), 1; 2-1 Korero, 2; 1-2 Aesculus, 3. Also ran: 3-3 Chock Say, 4-4 Night Guard, 7-7 Melisande, 6-5 Park Acre, 8-8 Joystick. Won by half a length, and two lengths. Time, 2.11 4-5. Miss Hushabye made play to the straight from Park Acre, Aesculus and Korero, and hung on to win well from Korero, which finished on to beat Aesculus. Park Acre was fourth.

Highden Handicap.—3-3 Interlocutor (Broughton), 1; 2-2 Haere Tonu, 2; 5-5 Golden Chant, 3. Also ran : 1-1 Prostration, 3-3 Hunting Lodge (bracketed with the winner), 4-4 Boon, 7-9 Thoniist, 8-7 Macheri, 6-6 Princess Dawn, 9-7 Dignified March. Won by a head, and a neck. Time, 1.36 1-5. Hunting Lodge and Boon led to the straight, where Interlocutor, followed by Haere Tonu and Golden Chant, drew out for an exciting finish, the. margins being very small. Boon was fourth.

President’s Handicap.—9-10 Arikira (T. Green),*. 1; 8-8 Count Palatine (Broughton), 2; 1-3 Fairway (Reed). 3. Also ran: 3-L Plateau, 2-4 Baroscope, 4 2 Aga Khan. 5-5 Miladi, 7-6 Chopin, 11-11 Vertigem, 10-9 Palm Queen, 6-7 Constant Sun. Won by a length, and a neck. Time, 2.11 1-5. Aga Khan led passing the stands from Fairway, Baroscope, Count Palatine, Plateau, Arikira and Miladi. There was not much change, and with half a mile to go Aga Khan. Plateau and Vcrtigcrn were in a. line in front of Fairway, Count Palatine and Arikira. The order was much the same into the straight, where Arikira took charge and won by a length from Count Palatine, with Fairway a neck away, just ahead of Aga Khan and Plateau. Stakes. —1 Autopay (L. G. Morris), 1; 2 Wahroonga, 2; 2 Morbury (bracketed with Wahroonga), 3. Also ran: 3 Inveresk. Won by five lengths, and a head. Time, 1.15. It. was a one-horse race. Autopay soon took charge and once the straight was reached he cleared out from the others.

J Awapuni Handicap. -6 Farmer (Marsh), 1; 1-1 Royal Routine, 2; 3-4 Cadland, 3. • Also ran : 2-2 Equitant, 8-8 Hunt the Slipper, 4-3 Lady Nan, 7-7 ! Might, 5-5 Quietly. Won by three ■ lengths, and a length. Royal Routine j and Farmer made play to the straight, but once in line Farmer went away to win easily by three lengths from Royal . Routine. Cadland, \vho~was sixth at the homo turn, finished on into third place ia length further away. Lady Nan was fourth.

Himilangi Handicap.—s-7 Forestry (B. 11. Morris), 1: 1-2 All Humbug, 2; 2-4 Emotion, 3. Also ran: 7-6 Arrow Lad, 4-1 Atholspcar, 8-8 La Poupoe, 3-3 Aiguille, 6-5 Senegal. Won by a head, and a neck. Time. 2.3. The race was run in a blinding shower. Aiguillo and Emotion disputed the leadership to the straight, where All Humbug, Arrow Lad and Forestry were handy. In the run to the judge All Humbug hit the front, hut Forestry got up to win by a head,

with Emotion a neck away from All Humbug. Arrow Lad was a poor fourth, and Aiguille next. Terraco Handicap.—2-2 Heather Glow (L. J. Ellis), 1; 3-3 La Grown, 2; 11-11 Whetuma, 3. Secrecy showed the way Into the straight, with La Crown. Heather Glow, Maypay, Gay Coat and Whetuma following. Heather Glow was not troubled to win from La Crown and Whetuma. Secrecy was close up fourth, ami then Maypay and Sir Romeo. DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB CONCLUDING RESULTS ST. ANDREW’S TO COUGH (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. The Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting concluded to-day. Tlio weather was generally fine, but one heavy shower fell in the middle of the afternoon. There was a good attendance and the track was in excellent, order. The totalisator investments for the day were £10,488, against £10,200 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £24,419, against £21,468 10s last year. Concluding results were:—
