MANGAPAPA SCOUTS
BREAKING-UP CEREMONY Last evening the break-up ceremony of the Mangapapa Boy Scouts took place at the scout hall, several members of the committee being present, as well as a large muster of Scouts. The district commissioner, Dr. W. A. Bowie, in making the presentation of badges won during the year, complimented the boys on having worked so well, and emphasised the value of Scout training, and also the benefits derived in the healthy outdoor life during their Scout work. The following badges were presented:—Tenderfoot: M. Hills, R. Stevens, J. Humphries, and R. Foote. Second class: A. Carter, K. Perston, J. Main, J Kay, and G. Butler. Cyclist: M. McKenzie, J. liewitson, €. Priestly, and 11. Richardson. Missioner: 11. Richardson, J. Hewitson, C. Priestly, K. Kcrmode, I. Cafe, A. Crotkers, and W. Varley. Pathfinder: 0. Priestly, IT. Richardson, W. Varley, D. Lindsay, J. liewitson, and L. Kcrmode. Naturalist: C. Priestly, W. Varley, and H. Richardson. Ambulance: H. Richardson, C. Priestly, and I. Caie. King’s ■Scout: W. Varley. C. Priestly, I. Gaie, D. Lindsay, H. Richardson, A. 'Crothers, and L. Kcrmode. Scouts will reassemble on February 0.
