Nine Christinas hams were stolen from the window of Air. T. Srnellie’s butchery at tho corner of Gladstone road and Carnarvon street, at an early hour this morning. _ i This section of the display window is protected by perforated zinc on the out- 1 side and wire netting inside, and the j thief laid cut through both tho zinc and j the netting to remove the, hams. There j was no glass to break at that spot, so | that the job could he done more or loss j quietly. _ I So far as can he ascertained, nothing j else was taken.
