RECORD TURNOVER
SYDNEY STOCK MARKETS INCREASE IN PRICES SYDNEY, Dec. 21. It is estimated that during the year there was an average rise of approximately 30 per cent, in the value of the principal industrial and trading shares on the Sydney Stock Exchange. 0 he year’s turnover has been of record dimensions. Government loans touched new high levels. J here is an impression in Stock Exchange circles that money rates will continue to ease in the coming year, and a strong demand prevails for fixed incomebearing securities, notably debentures and high-class preference shares.
