"I'LL MAKE A JOB OF YOU”
WOMAN THREATENED SEAMAN BOUND OVER (Per Pross Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Six months ago a German seaman, Otto Kraushaar, 26, was gaoled because of his persistent unwelcome attentions to a young woman. This morning he appeared in the Police Court charged with assaulting the same young woman by saving “I’ll make a proper job of yon this time,’’ and with behaving in a threatening manner. The young woman said the accused oil his release from prison two days ago came straight to her room and knocked on her window.
Counsel for accused; You were only playing with him and he thought you were serious?
“No,” replied the witness. “I don’t want him to go back to gaol. All I want him to do is to leave me alone.”
Counsel assured the magistrate that accused saw plainly now that she did not want him and he would not worry her again. Accused was ordered to find surety of £SO to keep the peace,*.,
