A Jink with the pioneering days in the Franklin district lias been broken with the passing, at the age of 84 years, of Mrs. Elizabeth Johnston, a former resident o,f Pukftkohe and thick land. Mrs. Johnston came from Ireland in the ’sixties and settled at Pukekohe, where she married Mr. Johnston.
