DOLLAR RALLIES

PRICE OF GOLD UNCHANGED (Received December 16, 2 p.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 15. The dollar rallied moderately well in the foreign exchange market to-day, although Washington dispatches indicated that the President had not changed his gold buying programme. The price of gold in the meantime remains unchanged. Again sterling rose to 5.15 under overnight inflationary sentiment, but dropped upon the announcement of the day’s gold price. Speculative markets were quiet, and irregular stocks weakened. Late trading commodities moved in a narrow range. Bonds were mixed in the light of the trading.
