COMPLETION IN 1939 STATEMENT IN COMMONS (Received December 7, noon) LONDON, Dec. 6. In the House of Commons, Sir Bolton Eyros-Mousell said that provided the necessary provision was made year by year, it was anticipated that the Singapore. naval base would he completed at the end of 1939. Britain’s Eastern naval forces are now based upon Hongkong, but they will be transferred to the new base as soon as it is completed.
