HUNTER WILL CASE

MAINTENANCE OF CHILD SUPREME COURT ORDER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Though strongly opposed by Lady Hunter on the grounds that the amounts specified were inadequate, and that no provision was made for retrospective payments, the terms of a draft order consented to by the other parties making money available for the maintenance oUthe cliild Elizabeth were adopted by His Honor Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court to-day. It was explained that the estate was producing no income. The terms were for a sum .not exceeding £3 a week out of capital while tho girl was living with her mother, and not- exceeding £6 a week if she was sent to a boarding school. It was mentioned that the rise in wool prices might possibly make the estate income producing, and His Honor said that it seemed to him that as soon as the condition of the estate improved it would bo the guardian’s duty to apply for an increased allowance.
