mono TREES ; \ PARIS, Oct- 22. .According to a recent computation, there are pearly 350,000 trees in Paris, and this is more than (fan be claimed by any other town in the world. A good many of these trees are accounted for by the 4000 acres of the Eois 'do Boulogne aud the Bois de Vincennes, •which are jUst outside the. limits of the now destroyed fortifications, and therefore, strictly.speaking, not in Paris jtself. But there are still a large number-which grow along the boulevards and on the 400 acres of squares aipl gardens which arc eniircly within the city limits. These statistics are. consoling Jn view of the pessimistic •statements which are frequently being made about our trees being killed off by motorfumes. Paris •remains the world’s garden city,
