GISBORNE DEFENCE CLUB DECEMBER HANDICAP Owing to the inability of the learn of riflemen from H.M.tt. Diomede to come ashore, liming the week-end for the mull'll arranged with the Gisborne Del’eimo Rifle Club, tlio club carried on with its usual competitions, the first shoot in the December Handicap eoinpetition taking place on the Matrgupapa range on Thursday and Saturday. J, Pirie, F. J. Jeune, and C. Horne, the last-named a keen new member of the dub, returned scores of 49 out of 50 at 200yds., and J. Berry was the top-scorer at ‘3ooyds., with 47, T. Herivel being next with 46. Two of the competiors reached the club standard in the match. J. Ririe winning on the Bisley count hack, with 94 (handicap 1), and F. <T.
