EXCESS OP PRODUCTION

(Received Nov. 18, noon.) LONDON, Nov. 17. At a meeting of the Imperial Smelting Corporation, Sir Robert Horne, who presided, said the Empire’s capacity to produce zinc was now substantially in excess of the Empire’s consumption. The present consumption of the United Kingdom was between 125,000 and 130,000 tons a year. He thought an attempt snould be made in the direction of regulating trade and establishing more orderly marketing methods.
