INFORMATION SOUGHT ORDERS FROM CHICAGO WASHINGTON, Nov. 1. The National Automobile Chamber of Commerce to-day notified Ford Motors to submit the wages and hours report required by the automobile code, as evidence of Ford’s compliance with one requirement of the code did not settle tlie manufacturer's status in regard to Government tenders. Meanwhile the City Council finance committee of Chicago recommended the purchase of 38 new Ford automobiles, no ment ion being made of Ford’s dispute with the N.R.A.
