AUTOMATIC PILOTS After two years’ secret development, United Air * Line's, the largest airtransport company in the world, has produced ah automatic pilot capable if carrying out in the air practically any manoeuvre of which a human pilot is capable. The new device, known as the Airobot, is stated to be similar to that fitted to the Fairey monoplane .which recently set up a new world’s longdistance record, iu that it eau fly the ’Machine so effectively that pilqts can ’•eavo tho cockpit for an indefinite length of time, and the machine will never deviate from level flight over a .pacified route.
