ALL FUELS OBSOLETE

INVENTOR’S CLAIM USE OF COSMIC ENERGY (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 2,2 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 1. Dr. Nikola Tesla, the well-known phvsicist and inventor, in a signed statement to-day, announced the discovery of a principle whereby power for driving the machinery of the world may be derived from the cosmic energy operating the universe. The principle which taps the source of power he described as “everywhere present in unlimited quantities.” It may be transmitted by wire or wireless from a central plant in any part of the globe. It will eliminate the need for coal, oil, gas, or any other common fuels, and will soon be ready for use, and, while in its present form, will require central plants employing vast machinery, he expressed a hope of working out a plan for its use by individuals. A son of a priest of the Greek Church, Dr. Nikola Tesla was born in Servia in 1857. He studied in various parts of Europe and was engaged by large electricity companies in Paris. He went to America in 1882, and was employed l\ir some time in the late Mr. Thomas Edison’s establishment.
