TOKOMARU BAY SEASON V (Herald Correspondent.) The official opening of the Tokomaru Bay Bowling Club’s season took place during the week-end. The president, Mr. J. Corbett, gave a hearty welcome to all visitors and visiting teams from clubs in the Gisborne centre. ' Captain J. W. H. Holmes, representing the Gisborne club, Mr. B. Power, representing the Gisborne centre and Kahutia club, Mr. J. Hartley, representing the Poverty Bay club, Mr.*C. Taylor, representing the Tolaga Bay club, Mr. Bass, representing the Te Araroa club, and Mr. B. Dudfield, Gisborne, delegate of the Tokomaru Bay club to the Gisborne centre, ably responded to the president’s remarks. Mrs. J. Corbett rolled a bowl along the green and declared the * green open for play. Eight rinks were occupied by players, several members of the dub being unable to take part in the f games owing to the large number of visitors."
