SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT A claim for £419 Is 5d special damages and £IOO general damages was heard by Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Palmerston North Supreme Court when Ilodgkinson’s Limited, cartage contractors, of Palmerston North, proceeded against Henry James Williams, of 11. J. Williams and Company, cartage contractors, of Feilding. Defendant counter-claimed for £3lO 16s Id special damages and £SO general damages. The action was taken as the sequel to a collision between two motorlorries owned by defendant and plaintill respectively at Te Horo on May 1 last. Each alleged that the accident was caused by the negligence of the other. His Honor awarded plaintiff special and general damages amounting to £375 on the claim, and found for plaintiff on the counter-claim, with £5 5s costs and disbursements.
