DESTRUCTION OF PRICKLY PEAR BRISBANE, Oct. 25. To date 8,452,521 acres of land which have been reclaimed from prickly pear by eaetoblastis and other insects, have been gazetted as open for selection under developmental tenures. At June 30, 7,604,729 acres had been taken up, and a considerable area had been applied for since that dale. Those facts were recorded in the first annual report of the Land Administration Board.
