BODY-LINE IN SOUTH AFRICA ' JOHANNESBURG, August 24. Emphasising that the spirit of cricket must he adhered to in all games played under their auspices, the Transvaal Cricket Board of Control have passed a resolution deprecating the deliberate use of body-line bowling. Players responsible for "unsportsmanlike p.ny” and the use of bowling which is “dangerous to batsmen” will be severely dealt with by the board. The ruling does not necessarily reflect general opinion in South Afric a on bodvline bowling.
