The conclusion of the agreement marks a further stage in the British Government’s trade policy, which' has been followed since the Ottawa Conference, when trade relations within the Empire were placed on a now basis. Agreements have now been completed with Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Negotiations with several other countries are in immediate contemplation.
