TWO-CENT POSTAGE
WASHINGTON, Aug. IG. Two-rent, general postage and a live-rent airmail base rate may return soon, the Postimister-Gdilcral, Mr. James A. Farley, has indicated. Twocent postage already is in effect for drop letters, hut it is hoped to restore the inter-city rate to the, old level by the first of next year. Airmail rates, now based on eight cents an ounce, may be restored to five cents before then.
