Australia, on "Antarctic Exploration,” at Wellington, was a sledge which had been left behind in Adobe Land by Sir Douglas M.iwson in 1912, and which bad been brought back to civilisation in 1931 by Mr. If. G. Simmers. a member of another Mnwson expedition in that year. Although the sledge was in the frozen wastes for nearly 20 years, if is in good condition, having been found in a hollow covered with a protecting layer of snow.
