During an interval the Mayor, Mr. if. h. Harker, on Ixdialf of the band, thanked those who were present and especially the. ladies’ committee, which had worked so hard to make the function Hie success that it deserved to be, and which no doubt it would have been but for the disastrous weather. In order to make up in some measure for the losses sustained by the band through the had weather, two anonymous donors have given £4 10s to the fund, and Mr. Glengarry £1 Is and Mr. M. B. Svensen 10s.
