LINK WITH BURNS
GRAND-NIECE OF BOLT A link with Robert Burns was broken <>n Monday by the, death in Hamilton of a great-grand-niece of the poet, Mrs. Agues Ramsay, widow of the late Mr. John Ramsay, at the age of 67 years. Mrs. Ramsay, who was formerly Miss Campbell, was born at Largs, Ayrshire. Scotland. She married Mr. Ramsay at Largs in 1894, and accompanied him to New Zealand in 1905. Mr. and Mrs. Ramsay settled at Frankton and had lived there ever since. Mr. Ramsay died a few months ago.
•Since her arrival in Frankton, Mrs Ramsay had been closely associated will First Church. Seven years ago sli presented the church wii.h a hell, wind hears the name of Robert Burns, ii
memory of the famous poet. She \va an enthusiastic member of the Soul I Auckland Caledonian Sociely, and wa always its guest of honor on Rum nights. There were no children, aiu Mrs. Ramsay had no relatives in llu 1 fominion.
