Plans have been prepared by the Public Works Department for the deepening. widening and straightening of four miles of the lower reaches of the hlangawara River, between Tuupiri and O'lini. The work, which will lie let by contract, is part of tile comprehensive scheme for draining the Taupiri swamp.
