RAILWAY FARES
NEW BRITISH SYSTEM (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.m. IU'OBY, Sept, 27. A change over from standard fares to day. hall-dav. and period excursion fares on British railways resulted during the first half of the current year in a con siderable increase in passenger traffic. Passenger journeys made in the period, excluding season ticket holders, totalled 524,738.215, representing an increase of 1.978,709 on the corresponding period of 1932.
