new centre formed There was a full attendance of delegates from the eight bowling clubs in the Bay of Plenty district, the Opotiki, Opotiki Citizens’. Taneatua, Te Puke, Rotorua, Tauranga, Tauranga South and Whakatane Clubs, at a meeting held at Whakatane to lorm anew centre, to be known as the Bav of Plenty Bowling Centre, with its headquarters at Whakatane The election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Air. C.. W. Loane; yiee-prestdent, Ast. C. Chamberlain; executive, Messrs. C. Gibberd, A. Nichol, R. Ruddick, C. Downard; Secretary, Mr. V, 7 . M> Hall, Rotorua. * At a subsequent meeting of the executive it was decided to hold a championship singles competition for the centre Championship Cup recently presented, each of the eight clubs to send its champion to the competition, which is to be. held at, Whakatane on Easter Saturday. .
