A professional heavyweight boxing contest this evening between Alan Campbell, 12.5. of Timaru. and George Singleton. 13.10. of Invercargill, formerly of Australia, was won by Singleton on points, alter a tame exhibition. Tlie referee urged the pair several times to make a fight of it. The decision in favor of Singleton mot with a hostile reception. In preliminary limits. .1. Richmond i(Otago) beat M. Paulin (Soulbland), and J. Reidy (Southland) beat W. Francis (Otago).
