EMDEN’S LOST BELL
SEARCH IN AMERICA SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 22. Reported to have been stolen from the Australian War Memorial Museum, the bell of the Emden is being sought here. The police disclosed to-night that they were cheCKing incoming vessels, stating that Mr. W. H. Childs, Police Commissioner in Sydney, had requested the search. * , __ , , A German known as Charles Knolmel is believed to have taken the bell.
