CURFEW IN LONDON
London sfili rings the curfew, though centuries have passed since the order it conveyed to “cover your tires” had any effect, states the Daily Telegraph. From the Tower of London, from Cray’s Inn and from Charterhouse the curlew is rung each night of the year. Charterhouse rings the number of the brothers in residence Should the number be full, all is well. Tf it falls one short, then tin* brothers kuosV thereby that another of their fellows has gone to his rest.
