SHOPLIFTERS PUNISHED

MASTERTON, this day. At the Police. Court to-day Alice Sim, married, was sentenced to three months’ gaol for shoplifting. Rhoda Mosen, married, a daughter of Sim, received two years’ probation, and Florence Bqswell, 19, single, two years’ probation on similar charges. Alice Vaughan, married, was admitted to probation for a year on a charge of receiving. The operations of trie accused covered a series of thefts from various shops in Masterton.
