POVERTY BAY GOLF CLUB FIRST ROUND RESULTS Conditions at tho Awa'puni links this morning were more favorable than they wore yesterday afternoon for play in the Poverty Bay Golf Club’s annual open tournament. The first rounds in the Keiha Challenge Cup tournament and the W. Barrington Miller Handicap Cup tournament were played off this morning, with the following results:
Keiha Challenge Cup.—W. D. Barker beat P. R. Willock, 6 and 4; C. H, Bowen won from C. Maekley, by default; B. Jenkins beat V. Hurlstone, 9 . and 8; C. 0. Hansen beat H. F. Martin, at the nineteeuth; N. 11. Bull beat R. Barker, 4 and 2; E. Candy beat M. Brownlie, 5 and 4; L. Balfour beat T. Corkery i 3 and 2; P. F. Barker beat N. Parker, 2 and 1. Miller Handicap Cup.—E.
